Group fitness classes nowadays are becoming more popular than individual training or
one on one training with a trainer. Group exercises used
to mean step classes or aerobics, but today it includes maritime fitness, yoga,
boot camps, zumba and many more. Exercise classes provide a sense of companionship
and support, something athletes are acclimatized to and depend on. There are
many more important benefits of belonging to a fitness class such as accountability
and cost effectiveness. A little competitive environment will make you work a
little harder. Group classes are often divided into beginner, intermediate
and advanced levels.

YOGA
Yoga fitness is a type of group fitness class which is a combination of physical,
psychological, and spiritual practices or topics that are born in ancient
India.

AEROBICS
Aerobics fitness is a group fitness class which is a combination of the thermic exercise and strength training exercise with the aim of achieving the goals of
improvising all the elements of fitness such as flexibility, muscle power, and
cardio-vascular fitness. It is usually done for music and it can be practiced
in group settings under the guidance of the trainer (fitness professional),
although it can be done without singular and musical accompaniment.
With the
aim of achieving the goals of preventing
diseases and encouraging physical fitness , people perform various exercise routines
comprising of a number of various different dance-like exercises. Formal
aerobics classes are divided into different levels of magnitude and
complication. A well-balanced aerobics class is divided into five different
parts : a warm-up session of (5–10 minutes), cardio vascular conditioning
session of (25–30 minutes), muscular strength and conditioning session of
(10–15 minutes), relaxing session of (5–8
minutes) and stretching & flexibility session of (5–8 minutes). Aerobics
classes may allow participants to select their level of participation according
to their stamina. It'll help you keep
the weight off too. Aerobic exercise helps reduce your risk
of heart disease, high blood pressure, type-2 diabetes, and high cholesterol and it also strengthens your heart
muscle.
ZUMBA
During 1990s a colombian dancer and choreographer “Alberto Beto Perez” has created Zumba as a fitness
curriculum. Zumba is a brand name owned by Zumba Fitness, LLC. Zumba
is performed to energetic and enthusiastic music which involves various dance
and aerobic movements.
Zumba incorporates
various dance forms such as hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. It also includes squats and lunges. Approximately
15 million people take weekly Zumba classes in over 200,000 locations around
the world.
